Frank asked:
I’m not rich, but I don’t want to blow money on junk, do you think I should shun this offer, or take it before someone else does? I dont’ think this is a rare deal, the action was stiff and the guy said that it’ll jam if it isn’t cleaned and oiled often. (How often though?) I’m probably going to hold my money from this offer and save up for something alittle better. What do you think?
I’m sure that jamming is possible for any gun, but I’m just saying that this gun may be highly suspectible to jams, which may explain it’s cheap price.

Save your money for something better. Hi-Point’s reputation is not very good. Do some research on the web, and you’ll find a lot of problems and complaints associated with them. Also, 159.00 isn’t that great of a price for an HP.
You can buy a high quality Springfield Armory XD-9 (9mm) brand new for under 500 dollars. It comes with two 16-round magazines and a lifetime warranty.

There is a consensus of people who bought HiPoint that it is junk, so I would think that it is probably true. I have not heard one gun dealer laude this gun. They don’t publicly knock it, because they have to sell it. It probably only cost them about $80 a piece for them.
